Afternoon Tea

Bilsington Priory Afternoon Teas are incredibly popular. An afternoon tea is the perfect excuse to enjoy eating charming cakes, scrumptious sandwiches and fresh from the oven scones whilst sipping fresh tea with your friends. Could you imagine a more idyllic setting than our conservatory, with views of a 13th Century Priory and fields as far as the eye can see? So come and enjoy food fit for a queen, lovingly crafted and homemade at the estate.

All the food is prepared on the premises with, wherever possible, locally sourced produce. We cater for private parties of ten or more on the date you choose, and have regular 'Open Afternoons', for groups of any number, from two to twenty.

"Thank you to all the team at the Priory for a day to remember."

"A group of fifteen Ladies group members visited the Priory to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. On arrival we were given a tour and history of the Priory by Libby a truly lovely lady who is passionate about what she does but with a relaxed genuine manner. The afternoon tea was served in the conservatory with real china and beautiful views. All our special dietary requirements were met with enthusiasm and eagerness to give everyone a totally special experience. Thank you Libby for those amazing pesto scotch eggs made especially for us vegetarians. The afternoon tea was served on a three tier cake stand and black slates with a large selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese savouries, scones with jam and cream, and an amazing selection of cakes. The best afternoon tea I have personally had. Thank you to all the team at the Priory for a day to remember."

"Truly a very special place"

"What an amazing place to stay. Libby was the most amazing host and the house is a hidden gem. We stayed with a couple of friends who took another room and it felt like we had the wing of a grand country house to ourselves. The property and it’s setting is an amazing experience for anyone who is looking to experience the feel of the bygone era of Downton Abbey. A large snooker room, paneled rooms, grand sweeping staircase, a four poster bed and an ancient Priory standing in the grounds with dogs and horses galore! Truly a very special place."
